Enliven Social Welfare is directed towards making better life for the people of Manakwada. The idea to begin this NGO and adopt Manakwada was to bring basic necessities for the village that were lacking over there suchThe adopted Village of Enliven is the Manakwada Village which is in the Chindwara District of Madhya Pradesh. There are seventy-two houses in this village with a total population 341 people according to our latest survey report. The nearest place with a good connectivity with the outer world is Pachmarhi. The means of transportation is the train service which is also 36 km away in Pipapria. The early ancestors of the villagers were tribal and semi-nomads but now the villagers have settled down and are involved in various occupational activities to earn their livelihood where agriculture is the main one. They also follow distinctive traditional rituals and some of them have scientific and educational significance. It is rightly said that the real Indian culture can be seen in the villages of India which can be personified as the heart of India. Joint families residing peacefully is a rare scene these days with the modern tradition of nuclear families. They believe in simple living be it a religious function, a festival, some family event, etc everything functioning is done in a sorted manner avoiding much sophistication. Right from the clothes, they wear to the food they eat everything is the basic one whereas these days we prefer things with a twist or say customization in everything we do. It seems that the ill effect of modernization could not touch them.
