Ovarian Cancer Has Robbed This Young Girl Of All Her Happiness

The past year has been cruel for Swarnali who is battling Ovarian Cancer. She had been keeping unwell for some time and doctors from different hospitals in her hometown couldn’t diagnose the exact reason for her illness. On suggestions from relatives and friends, Swarnali later visited Asian Institute of Gastroenterology and ever since then, Swarnali’s life has been a downward spiral.

Swarnali is undergoing chemotherapy however she can completely recover with a surgery. Swarnali comes from a humble background- her father is a daily wager while her mother works as a housemaid. Despite all her hardships, Swarnali completed masters in Sanskrit. She hoped to support her family however at this point, everything she could ever hope for have been broken because of cancer. Her family has already spent lakhs on chemotherapy, they need more funds for her surgery. They need your help to bring Swarnali back home.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you all for the love and support.

With a heavy heart I, Swarnali's brother, wish to share with you that my elder sister who was just 26 years old has left us. I have no words to thank you for standing beside us at this deep crisis we are going through. We have literally gone bankrupt and your support will help us to meet the expenditure we made in her treatment. We have requested the amount in Swarnali's account only and my parents will be able to meet the expenditure after bank verifies them to be legal heir.

I at this moment of grief wish to thank you and solicit your prayer so that my elder sister's soul rest in peace.

Most unfortunate,

Dear Supporters,

Thank you so much for all the support!

Unfortunately, we have some unfortunate news to share. Swarnali could not make it. The Doctor's had put in their best efforts but she could not fight the pain. Please pray for her soul to rest in peace.

Thank You once again.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you all for the love and support. Please keep supporting and sharing the campaign.

She was getting treated at Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad but she had problem's in receiving her 3rd chemotherapy session. And on doctor's suggestion, we decided to come back to Nabadwip West Bengal. On reaching home, her condition deteriorated and we took her to Tata Medical Centre, Rajarhat, Kolkata where they referred to take her to Tata Cancer Hospital, Mumbai but she has become too frail to endure a long journey. So instead we have admitted her in a private hospital in Kolkata for the time being where she will get operated and as her health improves we will shift her either to Mumbai or Hyderabad.

I am thankful to each one of you for your support and love to my sister in overcoming this ordeal.

With much regards,
Prodyut Roy Chowdhury (brother of Swarnali Roy Chowdhury)
