Corona virus disease 19 is a pandemic that changed the entire world, that led to loss of income on an average of 70%, loss of employment was averaged for 29%. The global coordination is needed to stop of further spread of disease. We can define the pandemic as “occurring over a wide geographic area and affecting an exceptionally high proportion of the population.” The last pandemic that was reported in India was H1N1 flu pandemic in 2009. The more we neglect, the less the rate of life expectancy. Hence it is highly important to take all the necessary precautionary measures to be away from the spread of COVID 19.
The present world is completely fighting to drive out the COVID 19 pandemic completely from the economy. Presently this is the major problem that have lost many lives and brought down the standard of living of people in the economy. This pandemic is the major reason for raise in unemployment rate, reduced GDP of the economy, economic growth recovery rate was reduced, completely changed the education system to virtual form, many employees were thrown out of their jobs due to which they were not able to afford their children’s education. Due to loss of jobs about 230 million Indians were pushed into poverty amid covid-19 pandemic. Recent reports said that rural poverty rate increased by 15% points and urban poverty rate was up nearly 20 points. It was noted that though incomes fell across the board, the pandemic has taken far heavier toll on poorer households. In April and May, the poorest 20% of households lost their entire incomes. The richer households suffered the losses of less than a quarter of their pre-pandemic incomes. Over the entire eight month period, an average household in the bottom 10% lost Rs 15,700, or just over two months’ income. Incomes also remained depressed. Households have coped the income loss by reducing food intake, borrowing and selling assets. Government relief has helps avoid the most severe forms of distress, but the reach was incomplete.
Those people who lost their standard of living are to be supported by the government and other non-government organisations in order to restore or bring the economy to its balancing state. Youths have to take the major role for in achieving this particular goal. Those people can be served by donating funds by the government or through raising from general public, students along with government could create new schemes for recreating the employment opportunities, donating for those families who were dropped below the poverty line due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Children’s who lost their education system are to be given with free education systems by the government, Covid relief funds could be raised from general public to serve those families that are under below poverty. Better accessibility for food, water, shelter and other basic needs are to be made available to all the people who live in poverty.
Educating people about the pandemic and donating basic medical kit like sanitizers masks etc. providing free access to vaccination to all the people across the globe. Ensuring a wide reach of creating awareness among people and continuing the chain of helping each other.
