Fee structure:

Till last year, fees was 12,000 rupees  per year. This year it has been increased to 14,000 per year. Many student’s parents aren’t able to afford this fee so our principal sir (also the founder) – Mr Rafique Saudagar offers them exemptions and discounts to keep their wards in school. Every year, more than 30% fee  dues are never collected.Due to lack of funds, the school is finding it difficult to upgrade its infrastructure. The existing benches have become too uncomfortable for older kids. Due to which, the students become restless in class.

What do we plan to do with the funds?

We are raising funds for new desks for 1 classroom, each of these new bench seats 3 students and costs 5,500 rupees per piece. Each classroom requires around 18 benches. So we require around Rs. 5,500 x 1 x 18 = Rs. 99,000. The new desks are made of thicker wood, are sturdier and higher and more comfortable. (We have included milaap's fee as well in the final amount)

We need the new benches because the old benches are now more than 5 years old and we need to ensure that the older students of 9th and 10th grade are able to sit comfortably and concentrate on their studies. There are 3 divisions each of 9th and 10th grade (6 classrooms in all). We have already been able to supply 2 of these classrooms with benches. We decided to fund another classroom through crowdfunding on milaap.

Kilbil Education Society is registered under 80G of the Income Tax Rules and so if you want a receipt to apply for tax exemption on 50% of the amount, do email us at anurag.chugh2014@teachforindia.org.
