'Support exceptional entrepreneurial talent to join the Jagriti Yatra and start their own enterprises'

Story

Jagriti Yatra is the largest train event of its kind in the world. Its yearlong program includes a 15 days, 8000 kilometers national train journey which takes 450 carefully selected youth to meet with iconic role model entrepreneurs who have created a remarkable social and economic impact.

Our focus is on youth from Middle India (India of small towns and rural areas) and our aim is to inspire youth to be job creators rather than job seekers.

Jagriti Yatra receives more than 17000 registrations each year of which 450 most entrepreneurial youth are selected. In the past six years, around 2500 Yatris have been transformed through this unique experience. Over 300 new entrepreneurs have been created. Around 60% of the Yatris (participants) are from financially deserving backgrounds and Jagriti raises funds for these young people to enable their participation. The cost of participation of one such Yatri is 60000 INR (1300 USD).

*Jagriti Sewa Sansthan is a charitable organisation working towards skill and enterprise development since 2001. It is registered as NGO (Reg no-3210/Gorakhpur). For Indian donors/sponsors, all donations are exempt from income tax under Income Tax Act 80G. For foreign donors/sponsors, it is registered under FCRA (Reg no.- 136380066).
