Story

I am Rahul Sudhaben Ashokbhai Amin , a Hemiplegic Rider from Vallabh Vidhyanagar,Gujarat. I have paralysis in my right hand and right leg, but I still ride. I am planning a ride from India to London across 19 countries in 137 days. I wil lbe covering a distance 26000 + kms. I have faced several biases and hardships in life due to my disability. I am sure I am not the only disabled person to face these problems. I am a survivor and a fighter. I overcame all the hurdle sin life to reach where I am today. My family has always been my pillar of strength throughout my journey. But everybody is not so lucky. This is partly due to the society's outlook on disabled persons and partly because of their own inhibitions. These differently able persons live within the walls of their home, due to the fear of being shunned by the society and as a result get depressed. With this ride I would like to spread the message that disability is only a state of mind. There is nothing that a disabled person cannot do provided that he changes his attitude towards his disability. The society also needs to come forward and motivate and support such persons.
This ride is my way of telling the world that I am as able as any other able person. I would also like to send across a message to disabled people all over the world"Rise and break the barriers. Come out of your walls and live your life to the fullest".
This is a dream which I cannot realize all on my own. I would like to appeal to people of all nationalities, Governments, Corporate and Celebrities to come forward and help me in my cause.
