I would like to begin by introducing myself as the creator and proprietor of a new brand named ‘Nectar’. Nectar is a service-oriented portal for healthy living, the focus being the fields of Nutrition, Lactation Counselling (breastfeeding support), and Childbirth Education. It is yet to be officially launched, and I am confident that it will be a great success when it is. Apart from my professional work, I dedicate my skills and resources towards social work, especially in the fields of Nutrition and Healthcare. I am particularly passionate about promoting, protecting and supporting the practice of breastfeeding.  World Breastfeeding Week 2018 runs from the 01st to the 07th of August. Towards this end, I have single-handedly organized a one day International Breastfeeding Conference, to be conducted by myself, and scheduled to be held on the 28th of July, 2018 (Saturday).
 I will also be using the conference as a platform to launch an anthem for breastfeeding. This anthem, which is currently only in the Tamil version, aims to give voice to breastfeeding mothers everywhere and is intended to be a timeless tribute to motherhood. It is also my sincere hope that one day, this anthem will be used at the national level, at all breastfeeding related events.

I have overcome many hurdles and obstacles in my preparations to host this conference and I have learnt the hard way that organizations and institutions in the private sector are not keen on supporting individuals, especially a woman, taking up a task of this magnitude.

 All proceeds collected in the form of funds will be only be used for organizing and conducting the conference. A part of the registration money will be spent towards a good cause. I request all the philanthropists to come forward and support my initiative.
