Drop by Drop: Support Training Development for Underprivileged Kids

Vision of Drona:

Technology to Democratize Education” is central idea behind our project Drona
We are a team, committed to make education accessible to everyone using technology. We believe that dearth or educators and resources shouldn't be an impediment to the success of our kids .

Drona Value:

There is a huge population of under-privileged kids who lack access to teachers and resources even though there is intention to learn. We are determined to help such children. Also, there is a large population of educated class who sincerely want to reach out and help the community; At Drona, we are reaching out to both and connecting them through technology.

We are providing logistic support to connect online volunteering community with underprivileged schools at the grassroots. The idea is to provide kids in the school with quality educators, mentors and resources to help them come into the mainstream education set-up & compete with the rest for a brighter future.

Drona Journey:

We started as a community project with a few kids which later crystallized into a under privileged school with over 230 kids under the name of Eklavya Trust (http://www.eklavyatrust.org/) in Prempuri-Jharsa (Gurugram)

We are now scaling up through an online volunteering project-DRONA (http://virtualdrona.org/)-, to reach out to even a larger community of children studying in similar schools all over India. The interest & support by both volunteers and schools is  snow-bowling into a movement towards online education & mentor ship for millions of underprivileged kids.

Drop by Drop Campaign : This crowd funding campaign  is just a small step to develop quality content for our kids. We have hired help to develop customized training modules on key issues faced by children from our community. These range from effective communication & confidence building workshops, Health & Hygiene, Sex-education, Awareness on Abuse, Self Analysis and Personality Development, Child counseling and mentoring program.

We request a  small contribution from your end to help us meet the costs. The resources build under this project shall be used by volunteers to conduct structured and effective sessions across schools online.

You little help today can help make our children more confident citizens of tomorrow.

Thanking you for your support!
