    This fundraiser will benefit

    GMS Leinak School

    from Longleng, Nagaland

Our Club is trying to help the gms school because there the students are from very poor families, beside that the government is not making any move while the school have no road at all (as shown in above video). there is also continuance report of injuries in that road and the number of the students is degrading each year.

The Ray Beacons Club Longleng with the coordination of the Leinak Ward Union community and the board member of the GMS Leinak School, seeing the pathetic condition of footsteps of the school and considering the difficulties facing by the students and teachers to walk to the school and reports of many injuries happening every year on this road to the teachers and students, Our club is trying to make an effort to construct concert footsteps to connect the school. The footsteps that lead to school is also the only passing through for inhabitant of leinak Ward to fetch water and main way for the few citizens living near by the school.
BEFORE

At present we have six official members leaded by Mr. Haushing Phom as the President of the Club. The club was formed by the cluster of classmates with a motive to encourage and bring changes in our society. The club mainly focuses towards the upgrading and development of the Students, planting trees and conserving it and mainly on Waste management. We also emphasis on environmental issues by education students through seminars at various schools and public in general. As mention in introduction, we have begun the construction process with Rs. 43,000/ that we had generated during Fete day Event on 13rd October 2018 and Rs. 1200/ that we generated in Milaap donations.

Till date we had manage to construct half a quarter due to the extreme weakness in financial. However, we are very much thankful to those who had supported us through Milaap donations and the participants during our Fete Day.
The construction had become a major challenge for the Club as the estimated amount for completion of construction is very high for the young club to achieve without your further supports. So, please to continue helping our community!

The construction estimate is 400 feet long and 4 feet width with 400 steps. The total cost for the construction is estimated at Rs. 5,73,000/ (five lakhs seventy-three thousand) which includes construction cost, labour charges and transportation.

The Government Middle School Leinak under Longleng District was established in the year 2004 as private school as ‘Leinak School’ by Shri N. Shuko Phom, felling the need of the School to provide education especially to the Leinak colony. Thus, the Leinak School recognising the need of an educational institute for the benefit of the colony children, started functioning with a handful of students and Teachers.

Later part in 2005 the Leinak School was approved as Government Primary School (GPS), in 2014 it was recognized by the Government of Nagaland under the centrally sponsored scheme the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) into full-fledged middle school up to Class 1 to 8. Today the School is headed by N. Yongkai and Mr Chinglung Phom as the school board chairman, there is 71 total enrolment of Students, 16 teaching staffs and 01 non-teaching staffs.

Meanwhile the Government Middle School Leinak is situated in hilly area, 400 feet below main road  which cause immense hardship for the students playing to and for every now and then without proper concert footsteps and since the School doesn’t received funds from Government in time which brought difficulties for maintenance of infrastructure.

Thus, to provide the needful and hear the grievances of poor and underprivileged students, It’s been a years the school has been experiencing huge downfall due to improper footsteps approaching towards School entrance and lack of amenities infrastructures which cause inconvenience due to pathetic road condition, The School has been experiencing in minimising students enrolment within these 14 years of stem.

To deliberate pertaining to various issues and to uplift underprivileged through this campaign, we the Ray Beacons Club having it's headquartered at Longleng, Nagaland incorporated on 5th may 2018 by Mr Haushing Aventh, Mr Nganthai Aventh, Miss Denshet Buchem, Miss Moiphen Buchem, Mr. Henmei Aventh and Mr. Longshen Phom with limited resources. Today it has more than a hundred stakeholders working tirelessly and strategically in all aspects’ about a collective change around.

We are determined to contribute some change and has a common vision and goal propelling towards all round development and progress. Today we the Ray Beacons Club Longleng would like to plead every right thinking citizens as well government of Nagaland to come out with constant effort to bring about a collective change around.

The RBC Longleng has come out with collective ideas, which plan for the new construction of new footsteps from the circular road to GMS School consisting of 400 feet. In the first place, it’s very fortunate and blessing for the GMS Leinak as well public in general to have such self-contribution of Shri Lukba Phom to construct the approach to a pathetic road through his private property.
Since the School authority urged several times for immediate intervention but the Government has of remaining a mute spectator with giving no attention to the matter since the last past years.

Therefore, the School authority had to find out solutions and here thanks to the Ray Beacons Club, who had little knowledge about the crowdfunding platforms.

As the saying goes “deed not Word” we want to stop grumbling and waiting for someone to do it for us and do some actions of our own contributions to the growth of the nation and School in particular. We are all equally responsible for the upliftment of downtrodden and underprivileged areas. So, RBC Longleng would like to request each and every right thinking citizens to please support and we shall thank God every day for you.
