Ask for an update
11th July 2016
Dear Supporters,

Abhishek underwent Heart Transplant Surgery on June 06,2016. It was successful and Abhishek is recovering well with all your help & love. Though he is in quarantine zone to avoid any kind of infections. Abhishek has to undergo Heart Biopsy to ensure his body is not rejecting the new Gift of Life. It is costing us approx 2.5 lac, he has to get it done every three months for next one year. Would appreciate to help us win this phase as well.

Thank you!

Why are we fundraising?

Abhishek Goswami is a 27 year old fun loving & caring guy. He has been diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy and Arrhythmia. The only treatment available is Heart Transplant, which requires a donor and financial help. His father is a retired pensioner with minimal income. They have already exhausted all their savings. Right now Abhishek's condition is not good and need constant monitoring in hospital and ICU only till the right donor is available. His chances of survival is higher in case of heart transplant as all other organs are perfectly fine.

What do we plan to do with the funds?

We require funds for the following:
1. To meet ICU expenses. (Approx Rs. 20,000 per day)
2. Heart Transplant Expense (ranges between Rs. 35,000,00 (USD 52,000 Approx) to Rs. 50,000,00(USD 73,300 Approx))

FAQs

What was Abhishek's Medical History?

Abhishek has been a teetotaler, never smoked, never consumed tobacco products or alcohol.

As per doctor's diagnosis he suffered from some kind of flu which weakened his heart. Since then he was repeatedly suffering from pleural effusion since last one year and was being treated for the same again and again in different hospital.

No hospital suspected the real reason and when at last MRI of heart was done at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Doctors tried to treat him with medication but his condition did not improved. Later he suffered brain stroke also but survived. Now only hope remains with heart transplant.
