My father has been the pillar of our family despite suffering from heart ailment for 23 years now. He has helped us sail through many difficult situations through his unconditional support and love. In the course of last few years he has faced multiple heart attacks and has been living with a pace maker (CRTD) since last six years living as full a life as one can in this condition. But now his health has taken a turn for the worse and his heart is losing the ability to pump blood every day. This condition is called “Congestive Heart failure”. His heart muscles are losing their ability to pump oxygen rich blood to the whole body and slowly he is beginning to see impact on normal functionality of his organs. His heart is leaking and has flattened due to immense pressure and load. Very recently, he had to be resuscitated through shocks in a few instances. He is bed ridden, weak and has been in ICU for last 4 weeks. At present is in AIIMS Delhi.

The doctors ruled out transplant as an option after evaluating his condition and told us that the only option we have at this point in time is a device called “Left Ventricle Assist Device”(LVAD). This miracle device is like an artificial heart and will take over the pumping functionality. It will pump the oxygen rich blood to the entire body. However, LVAD is very expensive and our financial condition is such that we can’t afford this device. It will cost us around 70 Lakhs just for the device while surgery and post-operative care would add further 10-15% to that. We have just two to three weeks in hand in which we can hope to raise this amount.

While time is running out for us, we are very hopeful that we will be able to raise some funds through this site. Any support would help us save a precious life.

Thanks a lot in advance for reading our story and also if it has moved you enough to donate some funds!

We remain hopeful! Thanks and blessings to you!
