Stray, abused, neglected & victims of animal cruelty, these are the reports that animal welfare groups face everyday. As the years go by we had witness the worsening condition of the stray animals in Allahabad. There is an underlying problem that is not currently address to solve the situation here, it is the growing population of dogs in Rural parts. And it can only be solved with sterilization and providing information about responsible pet ownership
Most of the people are still not aware of the benefits of neutering and there are no laws regarding pet birth control in the country. This is our goal and this is what we want, a change.
PAWCO, a Local Animal rescue organisation of Allahabad working day and night saving animals on street have been willingly collaborating with Posh Foundation to carry out first sterilization drive of Allahabad. Together ,we as a team are planning to neuter as much as 100 dogs (females only) in our first drive. It has always been our aim to lessen animal abuse and abandonment by controlling the dogs population through sterilization.
We want to do as much and as fast as we can to solve the growing problem of dog over population and Dr.Shrish Chandra from Allahabad has offered us his well established clinic for the project free of cost.
Our campaign project for our neuter clinic.
In order to meet our mission, vision, goals and objectives and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals for support. We are now in great need of fund to cover the cost of following :
- Food for dogs
- vet surgeon fee
- medicines for post care
- Surgery equipments and kits
- staff (paravet ,cleaner, space for post care)
- ARV post release
- Blood tests before surgery
- Ambulance pick and drop
Each donation to our campaign will help us sustain our advocacy and benefit the community which we serve. Lets work together to change the world of animals. Your help will make a big difference.
Hi guys my name is Pixie. I live in the Pawco Shelter and everyone tells me I am the sweetest and most beautiful girl they’ve ever seen, even with my broken leg. I had a brother and sister who looked exactly like me but they died. Iam told that’s very common for dogs that don’t get rescued by kind uncle and aunties. My mom used to give us all the food and grew very thin, I hated that but I guess she didn’t have a choice. I don’t want any of my friends to die and I want my mom and all moms to be healthy always. Please support Pawco to carry out an ABC programme in Allahabad so they are lesser number of puppies born on the street. \
