Meet Ramesh...Ramesh, an 11 year old orphan and street child, lives under the care of Subhiksha. Subhiksha is a small non profit organization in Hydrabad, India, which provides him (and other street children) with food, education, healthcare and housing. Earlier this week (on December 3rd), Ramesh was diagnosed with a severe abdominal injury. The doctors at the Osmania Hospital have advised for a Gastrointestinal Surgery. While the cost of the surgery will be free at the government hospital, expenses need to be incurred on drugs, diagnostic tests to be conducted at private diagnostic centers and other incidental expenses estimated to be around Rs. 30,000 (about $500 USD). Subhiksha, being dependent on individual donors, is asking for your contribution to help Ramesh through this emergency.
What do we plan to do with the funds? All the funds will be used for Ramesh's medical treatment. Subhiksha, being a small NGO, asks for your help in this time of need. Without contributions, we will be unable to afford the emergency surgery for Ramesh.
