Harshita was born with Congenital heart defect. Her heart is not fully developed and she has only a single ventricle due to which doctors suggested her 3 surgeries.
She already underwent one surgery in 2016 and now her Doctors recommended the second surgery - BD Glenn Surgery.
Sanjay, father to 3-year-old Harshita says "My daughter is extremely weak. She was born with congenital heart defect. She is 3-year-old and it was only a few weeks back that she started walking and talking. Looking at her condition, the doctors had suggested three life-saving surgeries for my baby. The operation was scheduled for sometime in June this year but we couldn't make it due to unavailability of funds."
Due to her condition, Harshita often experiences blueness of skin whenever exposed to too much sun or over-exerted. She is extremely weak and can hardly walk long distances. She complains of shortness of breath and is constantly tired. For a 3-year-old, this child is suffering too much, too soon.
Harshita's father works as an electrician under a private contractor and earns up to Rs. 5000 per month. He's the sole earning member of the family and with such meager income, the family is finding it extremely difficult to arrange the estimated amount of Rs. 2.82 lakhs.
The total cost of surgery is Rs.2,82,000. Any help would be appreciated.
