Namaste, Myself Kaveramma, My husband Gopal Krisna Ballal has been battling for his life with life threatening very rare type of cancer Leiomyosarcoma in the upper Esophagus, Carcinoma esophagus. It was diagnosed in March and Dr Somashekar, Manipal Hospital, Bangalore done Major 8-9 hours Surgery in May.
Leiomyosarcoma of the esophagus is a rare malignant tumor with slow growth and late metastasis. The aim of this study was to reassess the clinical characteristics and treatment modality in one of the largest series of esophageal leiomyosarcomas from a single institution. From February 1973 to December 2011, 12 cases of esophageal leiomyosarcoma were identified (Doctor told).
Initially Surgery was success, Doctor removed more than 6.5 cms and charged Rs 8,10,000/-. Now again he is unable to swallow any food and also facing difficulty in breathing (right lung failure). Doctor told that again they have to do another operation on esophagus and have to remove liquid from the right lungs.
All of the sudden, his weight reduced to 41 Kgs from 63 Kgs and now we have admitted him to the hospital again as he is unable to breath normal air. Doctor telling that it will cost around Rs. 8,00,000 to 10,00,000 again. We hardly managed to pay the bill the first surgery bill Rs. Rs. 8,10,000 and another Rs 2,00,000 (for medicine) with the help of neighbors and some loans. I have two sons, but none of them willing to help and says its a waste of money.
Am in desperate need of money for the surgery, treatment and to save my husband from something bad happening. So Please help to save my husband.
