Help & Save Debashish From Paralysis and Kidney Failure

We are raising funds for our friend Debashish who is a very humble & jovial person.  Debashish was working Vodafone as a telecommunications engineer and was leading a completely normal life.  On 23 Feb, 2018 he was taken to a nearby hospital for vomiting and other problems. There we came to know that both of his kidneys are damaged.

Doctors told us to admit him in the hospital and start the dialysis. He recovered and after one week he got discharged. He again joined office and was totally fine. On 7th March, on his birthday, while getting ready to go to office, he had a black out and fell down on the floor. We admitted him again till 13th March. Again on 20th March he became senseless and was admitted to the hospital. We came to know that there is a bood clot formation in his brain and he needs to be operated immediately to avoid further brain damage. He was in coma for about 7 days. The doctors had told that his situation is critical and he may not survive. At one point he stopped breathing and just couldn’t recover and was losing his life . The doctors rushed and gave him shock therapy and miraculously he came back to life. He was then kept on ventilator for 10 days. During the time he even had a lung infection with water filling in it. We then were told that his right side of the body has got totally paralysed. More than three months he was in ICU. He was then shifted to general ward for 15 days and discharged in the month of June.

The family has taken a special bed and wheel chair on rent for him, because his condition is so weak and he is paralysed. The family also shifted to the outskirts of Pune to a small 2 room housr to save money for further treatment. He has to undergo dialysis thrice a week & physiotherapy sessions every day to recover.. He is unable to move his body parts & can't even speak properly except a few words like ma, baba, na(No), ha(Yes). Doctor has suggested to do the Kidney transplantation once he will recovers from paralysis.

Debashish’s father has retired and the parents have no other source of income. They were dependent on Debashish but now the whole family is struggling to keep up with the expenses of treating Debashish. I and a few other friends of Debashish have come forward and are supporting the family but the expenses are too much to bear. So I have started this fundraiser in the hope of saving my dear friend. The cost of surgery treatment & recovery is over 30 Lakhs now. We urge you to kindly step forward with whatever financial help you can make to his old parents in saving their only son's life.
