Sundarbans Delta is a complex fragile ecosystem comprising of vast mangrove forests in the coastal region of the bay of Bengal. Numerous wildlife species, birds, and reptiles, including Bengal tiger, chital, crocodile, snakes live here cohabitating with human beings.

Village Kumirmari is home to 22,000 people ~ 3500 homes. More than 80% is disadvantaged community below the poverty line. The Region is under total darkness with a proven history of intense natural disaster every year.

People at best use Kerosene lamps to scare away the animals and carry their daily duties. But with solar lamps,
- Children will study in a smoke-free environment
- Secure safety for fishermen while in the dense jungle populated by man-eating tigers
- Women will cook in light and safety, saving them from buying kerosene, inhaling toxic fumes & risk of fire.
