Mrs.Lakshmi belongs to very poor family, living under severe poverty in Rasipuram town near Salem district in Tamilnadu. Till 2007, their livelihood was entirely dependent upon the daily wages earned by their only son, Varadaraj (31yrs old then).
One day in 2007, Varadaraj experienced acute breathing difficulty and couldn't perform his daily tasks normally. By 2010 Varadaraj was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy, had severe LVOT Obstruction, moderate PAH and normal LV function. Later, he underwent surgery called "Septal Myomectomy on 17/04/2010" and fitted with PaceMaker in his heart.
There onwards, Varadaraj couldn't perform his regular job and Mrs.Lakshmi decided to lead the family by working as a domestic maid at Chennai to earn money to support her family. Till today she is the sole bread winner for her family (Rs.8000 p.m).
Recently, few weeks back, Varadaraj again developed some problem and it was found that his PaceMaker machine lost its battery charge and needs a replacement within 2 months.
The PaceMaker replacement surgery will cost approx. 4 Lakhs which Lakshmi Ammal cannot afford to earn with her meager earnings.
I kindly request all of you to come forward to contribute as much as you can to help Lakshmi Ammal to raise the fund for her son's surgery and help him survive through this challenge.
