Team Unwired is a student run technical club housed within National Institute of Technology Calicut. Every year we design and fabricate entirely new vehicles from level zero.
Team Unwired is a unique opportunity for students to get hands-on engineering practice during their educational experience,taking engineering out of the classroom and onto the tracks.Team members also have the chance to participate in design challenges, fundraising,project management and organise socially relevent programme. Without the support of our sponsors, our continued success would not be possible.
Having participated in events like SAE BAJA INDIA, SAE SUPRA, Formula Student UK, Formula Student India and ISIE Hybrid Vehicle Challenge and also excelled in the events,we find the lack of sponsors to be the reason for not being able to bring major changes in design and fabrication. We consider this crowd funding as a platform to raise an amount to make our dream come true.

Why do we need money?
One of the main problems we face is the delay in getting funds.Since we are not near to any industries, we find it very difficult to find sponsors and raise funds.The college fund which actually doesn't sum up to a significant amount unfortunately reaches us very late due to some required formalities therby delaying us in our starting processes which include ordering the essentials.
The club members are also contributing from their own pockets to meet the sudden and unforeseen demands.
How we intend to spend the money.
We are planning to fabricate fully custom made gear box whose manufacturing cost is high.
This time we are planning to use catalytic converter which is an exhaust emission control device that converts toxic gases and pollutants in exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine into less-toxic pollutants.The materials that we designed need to be imported which will be expensive.
