31 year old Swati was diagnosed with drug resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) in May, 2015. It was the toughest year of her life. Not only was she diagnosed with drug resistant TB, her left lung was extensively damaged, too. She was immediately put on treatment. As a result, by December 2015, Swati had improved considerably and her TB decreased. All her diagnostic tests began pointing towards a healthier future.
 However, in November 2016, while all her tests were negative, it was found that her left lung has been completely destroyed with visible TB spots on the right one. With an altered treatment regimen, Swati continued to live her life on just one lung. Things began to turn sour when Swati underwent a Chest CT scan in July 2018. New lesions were discovered on her already damaged left lung. The infection is so severe that now the doctors have advised a surgery. It is the only resort left for her to lead a quality life. Swati is determined to defeat her TB. But she needs your help! Over the last three years the family has undergone severe financial stress, to bring accurate and appropriate care to Swati.
