Recently Solid Waste Management Rules specifically made it mandatory and fixed responsibility on the generators to dispose it off in scientific manner. Since this being a new field there is confusion among the citizens to select the technology which will not be harmful to the environment and also generate energy from the waste and send the final product as manure and slurry as nutrients to plants that is back to nature.
'Not in my backyard 'concept has to be hammered in the minds of the new generation and hence it is proposed to teach at the school level the importance of this habit and making students to operate the same hands on, on regular basis and to understand the concept and importance of the scientific mannered disposal of wet waste generating in their premises. It is proposed to procure the unit by requesting donations to procure one time cost of procurement,transportation,installation,commissioning and operation of the plant.
This being first of such kind, we Nisarg Rakshak Seva Sanstha have selected one school at present,after this pilot case if we get this working as desired definitely we wish to provide such units in many more schools ,So the beneficiary in this project is off-course students,teachers,parents staff working in the school and the visitors to the school. Also it is planned to keep track record of the feeding and every students has to put comments on their experience for which some tests will be conducted.
