Badminton champion & coach Surender Valmiki had a paralytic attack due to a blood clot in his brain. He has a wife & child to support, and doesn’t have medical insurance to cover
the tests & treatment costs. Badminton coaching was his only source of livelihood…and he might never be able to play again.
Some of us who have been coached by him (at the United Services Club in Colaba) are collecting money to help him get treatment, but he will need as much financial help as possible. Our aim is to cover his medical costs & also financially help him tide over this period where he will have no income.
This is an appeal to all who can spare some money, even if it is the cost of one meal at a restaurant or a trip to the movies, to help our coach, the ever-smiling Suri, win this challenge!
