Dear Supporters,

Thank you for supporting Shilpi in her fight against cancer. Here is an update on her health.

She is suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Her family had first gotten her tests done from Max Hospital. For the last 8 months, she is admitted in Apollo Hospital, where the doctor has set a 6-month protocol, which includes chemo, radiation and tests. Post that for 1.5 years, they have given a maintenance period wherein she will be on medications.

Initially, her chemotherapy took place on a weekly basis; now it is after every 15 days. The cost of every chemo fluctuates between INR 15000 to INR 40000. By now, she has undergone 16 chemo sessions along with 5 blood infusions.

Until now, Shilpi’s family has paid 12 lakhs for her treatment. Her mother-in-law is a housewife and father-in-law has a small business. He runs a stationery shop in a school, where he barely earns INR 5000 a month. During school breaks, he has no earnings. Shilpi has a-year-old daughter, named Aadya. Her husband, Sachin, who is the only son, was into real estate business. Due to Shilpi’s health, he could not devote time to his job and unfortunately, lost his job in November.

From his previous company where he worked earlier, Sachin received 3 lakh rupees as part of company insurance. However, a huge amount needs to be paid for Shilpi’s treatment and they are not even half way through the goal amount. In such tough circumstances, your contribution will play a huge role in saving the mother of little girl, Aadya and bringing back happiness in her family. It will be a great help if you can share this campaign and reach out to as many people possible.

“Thank you for helping us in need. Once my situation is stable, I would really like to pay back or extend my help in any way possible to all the donors,” says Sachin, Shipli’s husband.
