1. Abandoned by their families, left to fend for themselves amidst the unforgiving streets.
2. Forced to live in garbage and filth, street children confront unsanitary and hazardous environments daily.
3. Street children, especially girls, are at high risk of sexual assault and exploitation.
4. Stripped of stability and security, street children constantly struggle to meet their most basic needs like food, shelter, and healthcare
5. Denied access to education, street children are denied the opportunity to break free from the cycle of poverty
6. Enduring loneliness, fear, and hopelessness, they carry the burden of trauma that weighs heavy on their young shoulders
How Anil Kudia is helping these street children
- He Initially faced challenges with children running away and societal rejection.
- Eventually secured land for Sarthak Seva Sangh in 2012, ensuring stability for the children.
- Currently hosts 94 children rescued from the streets, primarily from backgrounds involving sex work and drug addiction
- Focuses on rehabilitation through education, play, and skill development.
- Out of 180 rescued children, 17 have been fully rehabilitated with jobs.
- He emphasizes the harsh realities faced by children and women in vulnerable situations, including violence and exploitation.
- He provides residential facilities with separate hostels for boys and girls, classrooms, a dining hall, kitchen, e-learning center, and recreational amenities like a table tennis court.
- Skill development programs include construction, welding, sewing, and sports.
- He is referred to as "papa" by the children and aims to provide them with a fatherly figure.
- His family, including his son, actively supports and visits the organization.
