ABOUT THIS FILM:
The film recounts the life-story of an old Czech woman, told from the point of view of her granddaughter.
This story is told in several chapters based on the different stages in the life of our old woman, Tereza. And these chapters talk about innocence, fear, love, courage, pain, loneliness, and many other emotions that each one of us go through in our lives.
It is thus composed of elements of biography, drama, novel, retro, historical/political events.
- We are trying to make the best possible film we can, so that at the end of the day you don't just watch it, you experience it.
- We promise that all our supporters will find their names in the credits of the film.
- Our biggest supporters will be credited as the executive producers of the film.
WHY DO WE WANT TO MAKE THIS FILM?
It all started back in November last year with an image of an old lady selling roses. Then came the ideas to supplement the image, and out of that emerged the story. The film has now taken a life of its own and we are only nurturing it as it grows every day.
We have fallen in love with the idea, the story and the characters… and we believe that this story needs to be told on film.
The film deals with a broad period in history, from the late 1940s to present day.
A major part of the film is thus going to be shot in a house in Sýkořice, a village 48 kms from Prague. It is a place that still has the essence of the 20th century intact under its roof.
The rest of it will be shot in several locations within Prague.

The film we are making is a student film that can only be put together with a lot of favours from many people. Given that, we have tried to constrain the budget as much as we could with the production and logistics of the film. The amount of flexibility and freedom is, like always, very limited.
We have worked out a target of 48,000 czk (Czech Koruna) which translates to about 1,52,000 INR / 2330 USD.
The funds we raise for this film will go towards the practical aspects of producing this film.
Any amount you donate will take us a step closer to make the film a reality…
WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?
We are a bunch of storytellers who have left behind the comforts of our homes and jobs to submit ourselves to the medium. Although it is not as easy as it seems, we do it because this is what we love to do, and this is all we can do. From the pages of the screenplay to the flickering lights on the screens, the films we make evolve through a long journey of casting, rehearsal, blocking, set design, lighting, costumes, locations, make-up, etc.
This project is close to us and we wish to bring to life some of the many emotions you, me, and all of us experience, through this cinematic medium. We have put in ourselves thoroughly into the film. But now, if there are no funds, if there is no support from your end, there is no film. And not only will all the mental, emotional and physical hard-work that we have put in so far be lost, but also it would be injustice to the story…
We are not making this film for profits. It’s just an expression, a story that we want to bring to you, a story that we want to experience. And to make it a reality, we need your financial and moral support.
In return for all your support, we have planned a series of rewards that we hope will, to some extent, repay both your faith in us and interest in our story.
