Story

Every time Prateeksha meets the Doctor she tells him “Someday I will sit on your Chair.” Little did her family know that the girl who is so keen on becoming a doctor someday to save lives of people will herself be on the hospital bed fighting for her own life.
Prateeksha 13-year-old very adorable girl who has dreams of becoming a doctor someday and give free treatment to poor people in need. She was leading a very happy life with her family members and the people around. But things changed in February 2017 when she complained of a light pain on her right leg. First, she was not taken seriously but one day in the middle of the night she suddenly woke up from sleep and started crying in pain.
Her parents got scared and rushed her to the nearest government hospital. The doctors gave her some medication and sent her back home. Her parents felt that she will be fine with time but her condition kept on deteriorating. Prateeksha’s father had to take her to a hospital in Bangalore. An MRI scan showed she had Cancer.

I am trying my best to save my daughter but it is way beyond my financial capacity to afford her Surgery.

Her father is a school teacher in a small town of Chickbellapur. He has no friends or relatives in Bangalore. He had no option of staying in Bangalore and undergoing his daughter’s treatment. Once in every three days Prateeksha’s father has to take leave from his school and travel with her  for more than two hours to reach the hospital.
Chemotherapy is a very painful treatment and after the treatment, Prateeksha has to travel back for another two to three hours to reach home. Her father cannot afford to stay back for the night because he has to save money as much as possible for her next session of treatment.
How you can help
Prateeksha needs to go through another 8 sessions of chemotherapy followed by a limb surgery to get cured of cancer. Her treatment has to start immediately to save her life and her dreams. Everyone in her community has come forward to help her in whatever way possible but it is not enough for a surgery that will cost around 13 Lakhs.

Your help can save Prateeksha's life.
