Why Am I Fundraising:
Poltu Bera, aged 29 years, is a daily wage laborer from Daulat ChakVillage, Hoogli, West Bengal. He has aged parents, wife and a two-year old daughter. He, along with his family lives on a meager income of 1,800 INR per month. He was diagnosed with a heart disease four years ago.
Poltu underwent heart surgery on 3rd January, 2015 at BGS Global Hospital, Bangalore. The total expenditure was nearly 8L INR, and that was collected through crowd funding and personal initiatives. This fund is almost exhausted as on date, and we still need to raise at least another INR 5 to 6 Lacs to support the expenses for next one year and much more for the following years subsequently. Especially the next 2-3 months will have enormous costs considering all the hospital visits, stays, expensive medicines & tests, immune suppressants, biopsy, etc. will ask for more than one Lakh INR per month.
What do I plan to do with the funds :
Use it for treatment of Poltu. This includes hospital visits, stays, expensive medicines & tests, immune suppressants, biopsy, etc. will ask for more than one Lakh INR per month.
