Most of us are fortunate enough to have a rooftop above us but a lot of others are still suffering without even food, dress or small rooftop.

I am Akhil C Pillai & I am working in Chennai in Parrys. If you have visited this area ever, you can find a lot of people living around on streetside amidst this business hub.

Recently I met a lady with her kid; who came to my friend asking for some food for her kid, he was completely depressed after seeing their condition and gave some cash. Later when he told me and after few days he spotted that lady again and reminded me about the incident.
I was completely devastated seeing their condition and when we asked more about them, it's totally shocking!

What happened to Nalini?

Nalini was born in a poor family at Valavanur Village in Villupuram District, Tamil Nadu. When she was 19 years old, her uncle took her to Chennai claiming to give her good job so that she can support her siblings and mother. But things were not as expected, she was brutally mishandled for some people's personal benefit. Later after few years, she married a guy and left her when she got pregnant.
Today she is begging around in Chennai Central streets with her kid & only people who are supporting her are Transgenders, staying in slums in Parrys Corner area.
When we asked for her what kind of support she requires in her life, she said that she needs a home to safeguard her kid and a small decent job to support herself & her kid.
Now we have provided a stay for them in Udhavum Ullangal Illam (an orphanage), with your supports we expect to give Nalini hopes back in her life.

I request all you beautiful souls to contribute generously to support Nalini & her little daughter to build their dream home & fight against the Human Right Violations the faced. At least her daughter should grow in a good environment.
