    Munil Kumar Sinha

    from Gurugram, Haryana

One night in the ICU, Munil held my hand weakly and whispered, “I don’t think I’ll survive this… please take care of the kids.” Myself, Mamta Sinha and I’ve been happily married to my husband, Munil. We live in a small village in Bihar, where he has always been my strength and the guiding light for our children.

But today, he lies helpless on a hospital bed, battling for life. Doctors say he has only a week left to undergo a liver transplant, a surgery that costs far beyond what we can ever afford.

We Never Thought Allergies Would Lead To Fighting On The Hospital Bed

One day, Munil complained of itching and rashes. We thought it was just an allergy. Even after taking the medicines prescribed by the dermatologist, his condition worsened. Soon, his eyes turned yellow, his body grew weak, and we rushed him to a local hospital. That's where doctors diagnosed him with end-stage liver disease.

Soon, his internal swelling became unbearable. So much so that we had to shift him to Gurgaon for specialised care. Despite all the medicines and ICU care, his liver failure only worsened. Finally, doctors told us that only a transplant could save him. But it's costing far more than we could ever imagine.
It felt as though my partner was suddenly fading away, and life was losing all meaning.

His Income Wasn’t Regular, But He Always Managed To Support Us

My husband was a small-time contractor and got only one or two projects a year. It wasn't much, so we've never had savings or any land. Still, he never let me or his children feel deprived. He would bring flowers for our daughter, Mayuri, and celebrate all her achievements. He also regularly encouraged our son, Manas, to focus on his studies.

Now, he is trapped in the ICU, and his body is working only with the help of machines. He even spent his last birthday in a hospital bed, unable to move. I still remember the night he held my hand weakly and whispered, “I don’t think I’ll survive this… please take care of the kids.” That moment shattered me.

We Are Trying To Step Up For Munil, But What’s Needed Keeps Slipping Away

Our 22-year-old son, Manas, has sacrificed his job placement and volunteered to donate his liver for his father. Our daughter recently landed a job in Gurgaon with a small salary. It doesn't even cover her rent and existing education loans, let alone our medical bills.

As a mother, I feel both immense pride and unbearable pain seeing my children sacrifice their future for him. But we're losing time, and doctors say if we wait longer, Munil will be too weak for treatment.

Even The Thought Of Losing Him Is Empty And Unbearable. Please Help Us

My husband has been my companion and strength for three decades. Today, the man who always protected us is now fighting for survival, and despite selling everything, we cannot arrange the amount in time. Without this transplant, I will lose the love of my life, and my children will lose their father.

Please help me save him. Only your support can bring us closer to giving Munil a second chance at life.
