We had just come back from the hospital, and my mother was complaining of headaches. But then, she suddenly began vomiting uncontrollably and couldn’t breathe.
We rushed to the hospital, and the doctors had to open her head just to stabilise her. After multiple scans, they told us she had a massive brain stroke caused by a blood clot. Doctors say she needs another surgery immediately and prolonged ICU care to avoid irreversible brain damage.  

But it costs 20 lakhs, an amount we have never imagined.


She Was Our Emotional Pillar, Now She's Silent

My mother was our everything. She would always cook for us, saying that feeding her children gave her strength. She was also my best friend. I told her everything—my dreams, my fears, my silly ideas from animation class.
Now, Amma lies silent. She's on ventilator support and completely paralysed on her right side. It's tearing us apart.


We Have Sold All Our Assets And Are Still Out of Reach

We never imagined things would get this bad. We had used up our insurance and taken loans to afford the dialysis. To get my mother's latest medication and surgery, we've sold our jewellery and the savings set aside for my sister's education. We even sold her mangalsutra, but it still isn't enough.
My father works small jobs in printer servicing, but that's just enough for food and rations. Our relatives are unable to help, and we are not getting any more loans.


She's Always Taken Care of Us. Now It's Our Turn, But We Need Help

Amma never once asked for anything for herself. Even while battling kidney disease, her concern was always about us. Now, she needs the care she selflessly gave us all these years.
