One ordinary night changed Manoj’s life forever. On February 25th, 2025, the 30-year-old had dropped his sister safely at her office cab pickup point, just like he always did. He was returning home when a drunk rider suddenly crashed into him while he was parking his bike. In a split second, everything changed. The healthy and active young man who once cared for his family is now fighting for his life.
Before the accident, Manoj was the strongest support system for his family. Despite his father being 69 years old and working as a security guard, Manoj always made sure his parents never felt alone or helpless. Today, he is completely bedridden and depends on others for even the smallest things. He cannot sit, eat, sleep, or move without help. Watching their son suffer in this condition has completely shattered the family.
Manoj’s father is doing everything he can to keep his son alive. At an age when he should be resting, he continues to work long hours as a security guard and now eats only once a day to save money for Manoj’s treatment. Every rupee is being spent on medicines, nursing care, and hospital visits. His mother has become Manoj’s full-time caregiver, staying beside him every moment of the day. She barely sleeps 2–3 hours a night because Manoj constantly cries out in pain and needs help all the time.
For Manoj’s sister, the pain is unbearable in a different way. She still cannot believe that the brother who safely dropped her to work that night is now unable to even stand on his own feet. The memories of that evening haunt her every single day. Seeing her brother lying helplessly in bed, unable to move or live normally, feels like a nightmare the family cannot wake up from. No family should ever have to endure this kind of suffering.
Manoj is only 30 years old and still has his whole life ahead of him. But without continued treatment, physiotherapy, medicines, and proper care, his condition may continue to worsen. The family has already exhausted their savings and is struggling to arrange funds for his recovery.
