47 year old Manasa started getting severe back pain two years back. After few consultations  Manasa was diagnosed with spinal problem. From then on, Manasa is unable to walk or do anything because of the severity of her condition.

Manasa was working in a beedi company and her husband Ramesh works as a a Government clerk. Since Manasa is no longer working, Ramesh is the sole breadwinner of the family. The couple has a son and two daughters. Every month, the family spends Rs. 2000 for Manasa's medical treatment.
