On 21st Feb, Kamlesh's throat closed up. We thought it was a cold, but the doctors had no answers. My son and I took Kamlesh to Lucknow, where the doctors suddenly told us Kamlesh's left lung had a massive tumour. After a life-threatening inspection surgery, they confirmed that he had lung cancer.

Before I could even react, my son said, "I'll take care of everything," and he did. Arranged the hospital, went to Delhi to get the funds, and even started Kamlesh on chemotherapy. But on 18th March, we received a call. He had taken his own life. There was no note, his sisters and I saw no signs.
He gave everything for his father and then left us with a hole we can never fill.

Kamlesh was more than a teacher. He was a mentor and a father figure to so many children. Even now, students call or visit, asking, “When will Sir be back?”
But they don’t know he can’t speak anymore. That he’s had three heart attacks. That he can’t even sit up on his own. I don't have the heart to tell them we’re losing him because we can’t afford to keep treating him.

We’ve spent ₹19 lakhs so far. My daughters, despite having young children of their own, borrowed from every corner. I’ve sold every single thing I had, including my jewellery. And still, the doctors say we need more. We’re empty and have nowhere else to turn.
After losing our son, Kamlesh and I aren't able to arrange money or our hearts.

Every day, I watch my husband slip further away. Cancer breaks him down every day, and he silently becomes more aware that our son is gone.
Neither of us has had the strength to grieve. But I know I won’t survive losing him, too.

All I want is to hear his voice again. To see him stand, hold our daughters close, and smile like he used to.
Your support is the only thing keeping us from losing everything. Help us fight.
Help us bring Kamlesh back.
