    Junmoni Hazarika

    from Jorhat, Assam

Junmoni Hazarika is a 15-year-old who lives near our home in Jorhat, Assam. She belongs from a very poor family and lives with her father(Mr. Anil Hazarika). Junmoni’s father has no education and earns very little. Mother died several years ago.
When she was 5 year old she broke her nose in an accident. She was taken to a hospital and had two stitches in the nose and her nasal bone was broken. At that time, doctor said they can’t operate as she was too young to be operated. She will have to undergo surgery when she will be of minimum 15 years old.
From last 2 to 3 months, she is suffering from nose bleeding and has difficulty in breathing. After seeing the doctor, he said she has to undergo a nose surgery. Doctor has planned to do a surgery which is named “Septorhinoplasty” in medical term.
Septorhinoplasty is a combination of Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty surgeries. Rhinoplasty is performed for functional reasons to reshape the nose – while Septoplasty corrects a deviated septum to restore (or create) normal breathing function. The operation involves operating on the bones and cartilage that give your nose its shape and structure (rhinoplasty) and making your septum straight (septoplasty). The septum is the cartilage and bone inside the nose that divides the nostrils.
The surgery requires around 3 lakhs rupees as this is a very complex operation. This surgery involves combination of two surgeries (Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty).
As she belongs to a very low class family, her family (i.e father) can’t afford this amount of money for her surgery. Myself being a middle class person can raise less amount, so I’m reaching out to you with the hope that you will be willing to donate some money – however small – so that a young girl recovers soon.
Her medical reports are attached below.
