Mrs Jothi husband Kannan who was the sole breadwinner of the family with 5 children ,had an accidental fall from a mango tree which made him immobile.He is bed ridden for the past one year..This had to led to the younger 4 children dropping out of school due to the inability to pay fees.Their families did not support them as they had a love marriage.They live in a kutcha house without any proper amenities and even no proper door or flooring.
Jothi is now trying to meet ends meet by working as a daily wager but her income of Rs 50 is not enough to support the family and her bed ridden husband.She feels she can live decently if she gets some cattle  like cows and goats which will help her to increase her income.
