Hello kind hearted people. This effort is for my father in law, Mr. Ghanshyam Rathod. Aged 57yrs.
A kind hearted soul in need.
Lately he has been diagnosed with AML. Acute Myeloid leukemia. A type of blood cancer.
He has received 2 rounds of Chemotherapy already. The 1st round could not clear his bone marrow from cancerous cells. The 2nd round was completed on the 5th of July 2018. The doctors are hopeful that the 2nd round works. If so, he will be immediately taken for a bone marrow transplant which doctors say is mandatory for him to sustain a good life.
He is currently been hospitalised at Narayana Hrudayala's Mazumdar Shaw Medical Center (Electronic city, BANGALORE)
His insurance won't cover so much that we can rely solely upon that for the transplant. Family and friends did their bit but we are well short of the target amount of 15Lacs.
A brief about Mr. Rathod.
If there is a person who radiates positivity, it's him. Full of life in ay situation. His smile is so so contagious. Never backed out from his responsibilities towards his family. As a father, as a husband, as a brother and as a mentor to many around him including me. I get all my courage and strength just be spending a little time with him.
He never smoked, had a drink or even did he touch nonveg food. A minimalist who lived by his self made rules. Always helping others in need. It does hurt to see a kind soul go through all this.. he previously battled conditions like cellulitis, sarcaidosis and tuberculosis. Yes, he is a survivor and his fighting sprit is commendable.
Even when he has cancer now, he has taken it so positively and is believing that he can beat this too.
But without some help from you kind hearted people, this wouldn't be possible.
Should you feel anything about the above said, please think about the happiness he will feel when he comes out of the hospital minus Cancer..
