We have all been in the dark and have wondered what may be lurking in the shadows. However, we all have access to light and rarely experience these situations while the unfortunate are unable to even go outside once it’s dark. 

Hence, me and my friends are taking an initiative to provide solar lights to a langer house for women and children in Hyderabad. The founder of Osaathi  Foundation is my college mentor and guidance counselor. I am not alone in this project and am working with my friend Krish Lal.

This langer house is supported by the Kasturbha Gandhi National Memorial Trust that was established in 1945 in order to address Mahatma Gandhi's will to address the issues of women in rural India.  There are about 300 women there and we are planning on getting lights for the pathways in the langer house. We are planning on using the funding for buying, transporting and installing 6-8 single-headed 12 watt solar lights.

As fortunate human beings who are lucky enough to have so many luxuries, we believe it is our responsibility to give back to those who do not have even the basic necessities. 

The money that we collect will be used by us to buy solar lights and get them installed at the langer house, we will not be taking any of the money donated. Hence, please donate to light up smiles on the faces of numerous women and children.
