    This fundraiser will benefit

    Farha

    from Pune, Maharashtra

She's NOT just another household story. Born into a middle class family, brought up with lots of love, she's everyone's favorite among all of them, even to this day.

Unlike most of the girls out there, she has suffered and struggled a lot just because she can pursue a "career". There were many situations where her father was hell bent on getting her married, but she fought against all odds and he had to step back. Her parents' financial condition went from "okay" to very bad, all their relatives had parted ways, but she kept on fighting. I live close by her and I've seen her struggle through everything. And, despite of so much trouble, hardships and what not, she always managed to stay at the top of her class, rather, I should say the whole college.

To this day, one more barrier stands in front of her. She got herself selected for India's one of the top institutions in management education but her financial condition is pulling her away from it. People can only imagine how time taking and tedious education loan process can be, but she didn't back down and had been running here and there to get everyone's attention to her situation. She didn't even come close to getting it. Some say that bad times can bring a family together, but for her, most of them have shut eyes.

Now she doesn't have enough time and she is in a desperate need of our help. Money is the only thing which stands between a scholar and her future. Every other resource she could think of, has exhausted. All the doors seem closed.

I know it's a first fundraiser without photos and attractive quotes, this is so because the girl identity can't be disclosed. And I think everyone among us can understand this. We can't have her face any more troubles. It's hard to believe but it's true, everything written here is true and all I can say that just by contributing few rupees we can have once less victim. If we can contribute to her education, we can ensure that the spirit of education doesn't fade. If 11,000 people can contribute only 50 rupees each, we can achieve our goal and get her admitted to the college.

Let's help her break stereotypes. Let's set an example for all the girls out there, that if you can dream higher, then you are definitely going to achieve it.

Why should a hard working girl suffer because she is poor? Is she a liability to you? Do you think throwing her into a marriage she doesn't deserve is what you should do?

Let's have our shot at justice and show the power of public. Let's show that we won't let the wrong prevail anymore.
