As we all know, on November 16, 2018, cyclone Gaja devastated nearly 8 districts of Tamilnadu, damaging more than 1 crore coconut trees which hit around 70000 farmers leaving an everlasting scar in their heart.

We, Krishnapriya Foundation, a NGO based on Chennai, have donated 2 lakhs worth of relief materials so far, to aid the people hit by Gaja cyclone.

The Gaja- hit farmers seek help in the removal of the fallen coconut trees for which Petrol operated Saw machines are essential.

Once we acquire the necessary tools, our team will be visiting the towns and villages around Pattukkotai and Peravoorani on next week (10-16 December 2018), stay there for a few days in-order to help the farmers remove the fallen trees from their farm.

As compensation, we are also planning to donate coconut saplings to bring in some hope to to the lives of the farmers.
Our plan is to donate 2500 coconut saplings, immediately, to 100 small farmers (25 saplings each) in and around Pattukottai & Peravoorani. It will cost around Rs.100 per coconut sapling.

There can be no words to describe the pain that the farmers are going through. Please help Tamilnadu to stand on its feet and support our farmers to put an end to the alarming pattern of suicidal tendencies. We are in desperate need of your hand to help us to donate coconut saplings to the farmers, who are the backbone of our nation.

Estimated budget is Rs.100 x 2500 coconut saplings = Rs.2,50,000.
