Today, cancer has my two-and-a-half-year-old girl hospitalised. When she calls me and asks, “Ghar kab jayenge?” I tell her, “Soon,” but I don't even know how to afford her treatment.
I’m Jyoti Maurya. My husband and I thought we'd be able to watch our child fill our home with happiness. Instead, my little girl is fighting pain that even adults can't bear.

Cancer Has Torn Her Life Apart in the Blink of an Eye
When our baby got a fever, the doctors told us regular medicines were that's needed. But the situation never improved even after two weeks. One night, she looked like there was no blood in her body. When we reached the hospital, the tests diagnosed her with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a rare blood cancer. I felt my world collapse that night.
Doctors started her on chemotherapy and warned us that waiting even a day could make things worse. But every session and injection costs more than what my husband earns in several months.

We Shifted to a New City Miles Away to Keep Her Alive
We left everything behind in Siliguri and moved to Kolkata for treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital. My husband even had to quit his job as a helper in a private company. Today, he now cooks, washes, and brings food every day, while I stay by her bedside 24/7.
We took loans and sold jewellery to pay for her last chemo session. We skip meals to save something, but nothing's enough. Even a cup of milk has become too expensive.

I’m Watching My Child Scream in Pain Day and Night
My daughter loves dancing to rhymes and eating rice with ghee. She loves watermelons and sandwiches. But now, her mouth is full of sores, she has a tube to feed her, and her legs are too weak to move. All tablets have such brutal side effects, and every nurse with a needle terrifies her.
At night, my child falls asleep screaming in pain. I can't say anything when I feel her tiny hands swollen, bruised, and trembling. With doctors reminding us to make payments, my husband and I sit outside her room, praying for help.

Our Daughter Gives Us the Will to Fight. But She’s Running Out of Time
Her strength is what keeps us alive. Despite her pain, she tries to smile. That gives us hope as we fight and the courage not to give up. But we're not able to do it alone.
Please, help us save our little girl before it’s too late. Only your support can help her survive and give her the childhood she deserves.
