    This fundraiser will benefit

    child of sandeep

    from Noida, Uttar Pradesh

“We waited for years to hear a child call us ‘Papa’ and ‘Mummy’. When she came into our lives, everything changed for the better. Our lives started meaning something. Today, I stand outside the ICU praying just to hear her voice once more, but she can barely open her eyes. She is on a ventilator. I want my angel back…please help me.” — Sandeep, father of the beneficiary

Sandeep and Saroj’s twelve-year-old daughter is the heartbeat of her family. She came to their life when after 12 long years of childlessness. From that day on, she became the centre of their world. Sandeep, who works as a cleaner in a local society, spent his days sweeping roads and maintaining gardens, earning ₹11,500 a month — all of which went towards her education and wellbeing. Despite their modest means, he enrolled her in a private school because he wanted her to have opportunities he never had.

Recently, she began complaining of pain in her left eye, which soon turned red and swollen. Her parents rushed her to multiple doctors. A surgery was performed to remove lumps from her eye, and they brought her home believing she would recover. But her vision worsened, and tests revealed the worst news — she had Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that had already begun to spread to her neck.

‘She tried to attend school even when she was unwell because she loved studying’

Sandeep's little girl was a bright student who loved both studying and drawing. Her teachers always praised her for her dedication. Even when she fell sick, she tried to attend school, only to return within an hour because her body could not keep up with her determination. Two cycles of chemotherapy were completed, but soon after, she developed a severe cough that would not subside.

“She always wanted to study and become someone important in life. Even when she couldn't walk properly due to weakness, she tried to go to school because she didn’t want to fall behind. Seeing her struggle like this is something no parent should ever have to watch. Cancer is completely destroying her body, but she still tried to act like everything was okay until she got very very sick recently.” — Sandeep

‘After spending everything we had, I have nothing left to save her life’

Her cough got worse and her condition worsened rapidly due to a severe lung infection, forcing doctors to admit her to the ICU and place her on a ventilator for breathing support. It has now been more than ten days since she has been unconscious. The family has already spent ₹6–7 lakhs on treatment so far, all of which was arranged through borrowed money. With a monthly rent of ₹6,000 and no financial support from friends or relatives, they are struggling to manage the cost of further treatment, without which she will not survive.

“I don’t want anything else in life. I only want my daughter to come back home with us. This feels like a never-ending nightmare. She is unconscious and does not know we are calling out to her. Please help me save her so I can hear her call me ‘Papa’ again.”— Sandeep
