Help educate a child

Zila Siksha Uthan Samiti, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh has been set up by the District Administration to fund higher education for children who drop out after school due to lack of monetary resources with the family. The Samiti assesses the economic status of the family of the applicant through the administrative machinery in the field and pays the fees directly to the colleges/ universities directly. The Samiti also has tie ups with book sellers and pays them for the books which are prescribed as part of syllabus but which a poor student is not able to afford. The Samiti has disbursed around Rs. 6 lacs for the benefit of 165 students in District Mandi in the last year. We intend to raise money from interested donors for this year so that we can extend the helping hand to many more.
