    Anshu Ghosh

    from Bangalore, Karnataka

A few months back 7-year-old boy, Anshu, began falling sick consistently, he began to lose his appetite and was even showing signs of weakness. His concerned parents took him to a doctor in West Bengal, where they live and here he was suspected to have cancer.

His parents were immediately advised to take his to Manipal Hospital in Bangalore for further check-up. It was this, to his parent's shock and devastation that their young boy was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Hodgins Lymphoma is a form of blood cancer that affects the red and white blood cells. It lowers the immunity and if not treated can cause severe life-threatening damages to the body.
Chandrani and I have not been able to tell Anshu the truth. We said he is getting injections for his fever, to stop his fever from coming back. How can I explain cancer to a 7-year-old?

Anshu has been advised to immediately begin chemotherapy treatment of 6 cycles. He has already on his second cycle. The severity of his condition required immediate treatment.

The total cost of his chemotherapy and treatment will amount to about 2.5 Lakh Rs.

Now Anshu is hardly able to move

In just under few months, Anshu’s condition deteriorated. He was not eating well, could not even breathe sometimes. His stomach was swollen and hurt so much that he screamed. After the chemotherapy started, the side effects began taking a toll on him. He is tired, anemic, and is losing weight.

Anshu's parents are ready to do whatever it takes to save their boy but unfortunately, do not have the necessary funds to pay for his treatment. They are not yet ready to give up on their daughter and need our help.
Despite the chemotherapy, Anshu is happy being with his  family
Your contribution can make a huge difference to Anshu's life and can help him get the treatment he deserves.
