This is a fundraiser for our dear friend Irom Ajay Singh, who is suffering from acute liver failure and urgently needs a liver transplant surgery.

Ajay's condition arose suddenly and surprisingly as he maintained a healthy lifestyle. He is a non-smoker and non-drinker. He got admitted to Columbia Asia Hospital with restlessness and disorientation. He was soon diagnosed with acute liver failure and was shifted to Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, 58 Canal Circular Road, Kadapara, Kolkata - 700054, for higher treatment in a comatose state. He has been undergoing dialysis as part of his treatment and will soon have a liver transplant with projected cost above Rs 2,500,000 (Rs 25 lakh +). His courageous elder brother Anjan Irom is donating part of his liver for the procedure. Kindly see the projected costs document in the picture below.

Ajay is a kind and humble person and a great friend. He is always smiling and maintains a positive attitude towards life and work. He comes from a very simple family of modest means from Manipur. The costs of dialysis and now the transplant surgery has put tremendous financial strain on the family. His health insurance only covers a very small portion of the overall treatment costs. His family needs all our support in their time of unthinkable hardship.

We hope that we can help Ajay and his family to some extent through these efforts. His condition is critical and every penny counts.
