We at JanmFoundation.org are running two projects for stray & abandoned rescue and rehabilitation in Dwarka, New Delhi and Gurgaon. We also organise rural sterilisation camps by taking veterinary officials and their teams to remote areas.

Locations:
  1. Around CP2 + Block A-F of Vipul, Sohna Road Gurgaon
  2. Dwarka metro station to Sector 3, Dwarka, New Delhi
What we deliver:
- Food supplementation for needy dogs- Sterilisation of dogs around the area
- Homes (either as traditional pets or as community pets) for ALL dogs we find - we adjust them well
- Rounds to check for animals in distress and coordination with vets for pick ups for animals in distress
- Intelligence gathering for any animal cruelty
- Awareness creation for humane animal handling and humane handling of man-animal conflict

Dwarka, New Delhi:
We have been running this programme in Dwarka from 2008. The area we have targeted there is catering to four villages, ten slum areas and two main roads in a 5 km radius. We have ensured almost 100% sterilisation in the main roads and have consistently gone into the slums to keep sterilising dogs in a sustained basis. We also serve as a helpline for the local villages and have also ensured overall awareness of animal laws and humane stray dog handling. The area has seen general rise in positive sentiment towards animals in general and dogs in particular.

CP2 & Vipul areas, Gurgaon:
This area is also spread over a 5 km radius and caters to four villages and multiple slum areas, three high-end residential complexes, multiple office complexes. This programme has been initiated late-2016.
Two consecutive years there have been puppies dumped around Vipul A block Nala in Sohna Road. Taking care of the puppies this year, have realised that there is a lot of issues in the areas behind CP2 and Vipul A to F block and around Tikri village slums. There have been reports of puppies having been beaten by a cricket bat, puppies having been burnt etc.
