Hello,

I am Abhishek Mishra raising funds for my father's friend, Mr. Goutam Das belonging to sambalpur in state of orissa. He was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of tongue(cancer of tongue) by Tata Memorial, Mumbai on 2/5/2015. His cancer has spread to his lungs and throat.

Mr Goutam Das is a surveyor and loss assesor, working in Sambalpur Orissa. He has a wife, a son who is studying in class 7th and a daughter who has started working for an IT firm last year, her salary is not sufficient for her father's treatment and as Mr. Goutam is not able to work anymore, the family is going through finacial crisis as there is no other earning member in the family.

From the first diagonosis he was on chemotherapy prescribed by TMC, he was given carboplatin for four months which did not have any effect on him, his health started detoriating continuously. Hence he decided to opt for treatment in bhubaneswar which is nearer to his home town i.e sambalpur, odisha.

He is getting his treatment done in Sparsh Hospitals & Critical Care P Ltd in bhubaneswar by Dr. Ghanshyam Vishwas. The doctor has recommended to change the chemo to better suited one.
His total expenditure during his treatement in mumbai had costed him more than 15 lakhs. Sparsh hospital has given an estimate of around 4.5 lakhs which is approx and can increase depending on his health.
