Hello friends..I am asking for a favour from you to kindly take out a minute of your time to go through this post..
This is Gagandeep Singh(dipu),my childhood friend and classmate..who met with a bike accident 3 days back near asansol while returning from a job interview and suffered severe traumatic brain injury due to which he is presently struggling for his life admitted in the neurosurgical ICU of the Mission hospital,Durgapur..For all my doctor friends he has a Right parietal Sub dural haematoma with vault of the skull fracture along with multiple haemorrhigic contusions and sub arachnoid haemorrhage..MRI brain is suggestive of grade 2 Diffuse axonal injury..
For those of you who don't know him,he is an amazing human being..soulful..jovial..promising and always filled with life..and you can take my word for it..
He hails from a modest family and has no major health insurance coverage..and being the only son he is the sole provider and comforter for his family..
Being a doctor I have come across many road traffic accident victims but trust me..the anguish..the over burdening sorrow and helplessness that follows when you see a face you dearly know as the face of somebody who is participating in an uneven contest against death..to even imagine the possibility that odds are against you hearing him speak with that all very familiar voice and to look at that smile that you have seen every single day while growing up together as kids.. it brings unparalled agony and powerlessness!
Anyways ..this festive season..lets all of us have one less T shirt..one less jeans..one less jewellery..some less crackers..some less extravagant pujo celebrations.. and let the compassion and humanity inside us come forth and help him and his family in this time of dire need..
The bank account details of his father is given below..even some help from your side..however meagre it might be..might bring back happiness to a family that is on the verge of being shattered..and for those who can not contribute financially it's absolutely alright..but please..kindly pause for a moment before scrolling down to the next story on your newsfeed to pray for my friend to get better..and share this post as much as you can so that more and more people can know about this..
And for my friends of Modern High school who are still based in Durgapur..if possible kindly take out some of your time to go visit him and his family so that they know they are not alone in this..we are with them..and we WILL bring their Dipu back..!!
