    Stray Animals

    from Chandigarh, Chandigarh

Our goal is to rescue 3500+ animals in the first year & 4300+ in the next year.

Help us run a FREE emergency ambulance service for injured stray animals in Chandigarh Tricity including Mohali, Kharar, Zirakpur and Panchkula. We have bought the vehicle and now we need your support in raising funds to operate the ambulance. (Scroll below to view the image of the vehicle)

We will rescue both small and large animals including dogs, cats, cows & horses and will also provide on-the-spot relief treatment before taking them to the hospital.

The Problem

Hundreds of critical cases go unattended and street animals who have either been abandoned or neglected by the community, suffer great deal of pain in our society. Due to inefficient rescue and reporting of these voiceless animals, every day is a suffering for them.

Since their injuries are not treated properly and in time, they continue to roam around the streets with open wounds. Locals tend to avoid going near and even provide them with food or water. Without proper treatment, their health further deteriorates and their chances of getting adopted become negligible.

Everything exists, from Animal hospitals, private vets, ABC (Animal Birth Control) units to foster homes and shelters. It's the lack of rescue infrastructure & transportation due to which animals suffer.

We hope to raise funds so we can help setup a FREE emergency ambulance service to rescue the injured animals and give them a new life.

How we plan to tackle it

1. Efficiency in Reporting
No reporter waits for hours for the rescue vehicle to arrive and by that time, its too late. The first step is to ensure there is efficiency in reporting. By spreading awareness about the available animal rescue services, the reporters can effectively get the animals rescued in time. One from our team will devote full-time to co-ordinate and dispatch vehicles effectively. We will be coordinating with local volunteers to assist with the search operations. Additionally, we are also developing a webpage and an app (still in development) to provide a one-stop solution to reach out to all the rescue service providers. Here's the prototype link (View on Mobile): bit.ly/chd-sos

2. Rescuing Effectively
Our trained rescuers with the right skillset will effectively rescue the injured animal and provide basic medical treatment on the spot and rush them to the hospital for further treatment. By co-ordinating with government rescue vehicles, private operators & other NGOs, we believe we will cut short the total time to rescue by almost 50%.

3. Follow-ups
Our group of volunteers will regularly keep a check on the health of the animals and assist in their recovery. Upon recovery, the animals will either be put up for adoption, located back from where we picked them from or will be sent to a shelter home to spend the rest of their lives happily.

How you can help us

Our initial target is to raise 3,50,000 so we are able to fund for the full-time salary & fuel for the first 7 months. Please act fast and support us in saving  the lives of voiceless animals.

The major costs revolve around:
