"Dare, Dream, Discover, Discipline and Do."
Praveen Singh Rangar belongs to a little hamlet called Naitwar in Uttarakhand. Naitwar is a small and poor village located in Mohri Tehsil of Uttarkashi District in Uttarakhand. The nearest bus service or any transportation service is at least 10 kms away. Most dreams here are crushed even before they are born as one struggles his way for day to day survival.
Praveen has however, dared to dream and dream big. He has charted a path and is on course to become the first Indian civilian to accomplish four feats, climb Mt. Everest and then ski down without oxygen among others. It involves challenging his lungs at the top where there is 66% less oxygen than at sea level. Putting on the boots and crampons itself is enough to put the climber out of breath halfway up the mountain.

He desires to change the outlook and drive a message in all small villages that one can achieve their dreams if one works hard and with discipline. He has been a big proponent of living a life without substance abuse and wants to free the mountains of drugs and alcohol.
He is all geared up to achieve this feat and has scaled some of the other most challenging peaks like…
All peaks of the Gangotri Massif
Gangotri 1 - 6672m
Gangotri 2 - 6590m
Gangotri 3 - 6510m
and
Mt. Shigri Parvat - 6526m
Mt. DKD2 - 5670m
Mt. Rudragaira - 6040m
Mt. Satopanth - 7025m
White Needle - 6600m
Unnamed Peak - 6217m
An avid adventure lover, he has completed the Mountaineering, Skiing, water sports courses from the top mountaineering and Water Sports institutes in India with top scores.

And has made a career in the same fields he's so passionate about since 2007. He has also been a part of Climbathon sponsored by IMF, more than once.

He has been called by govt. to assist in various rescue operations over the years, recently being rescue operations in Kedarnath flood. He has selflessly devoted himself and been a great Samaritan.

His dreams are plagued by lack of funds and not enough govt. support. Even though Govt. wants to develop Uttarakhand as a hub for adventure tourism and encourage adventure sports persons from the region, there is not enough support available to accomplish a grand task of scaling Mt. Everest.
