Sponsor Food to 350 Underprivileged, Orphan Children in India

Summary
Social Action for Manpower Creation (SAMPARC) is non-profit making Public Charitable Society and Trust in India established in 1990 for the rehabilitation, care and educational development of orphan children, children of socially victim women and all other needy, poor and disadvantaged children. SAMPARC needs your support in providing nutritious breakfast, lunch & dinner to 350 underprivileged, needy & orphan children in our SAMPARC Orphanage.

Challenge
1.Poor nutrition and health among children contributes to the inefficiency of the educational system. Nutritional and health status are powerful influencers on a child's learning and on how well a child performs in school.
2.Due to the high inflation and economic distortions, it is difficult to achieve our fundraising goals and also to find the necessary provisions for food expenses of our Orphanage. With your generous contribution, you can help in our endeavor to provide balanced meals to 341 children. This will help us to enhance our food security and help us deal with inflationary conditions.

Solution
The project guarantees that 350 underprivileged children from SAMPARC Orphanage, get balanced food, preventing malnutrition and ensuring that these children achieve personal growth and intellectual development. It gives these children an incentive to learn and receive an education that will prepare them for a successful future.

Long-Term Impact
This project has potential & impact full in mainstreaming of orphans, needy & underprivileged children. Their basic needs are met & they will get new life through gaining knowledge, vocational skills & life skills. They will get love & affection as if their parents provide. Their confidence level will increase & become a good asset to the community. They are developed physically, psychologically & made as good citizens. They will inspire by philanthropy & show humanity towards the community.

Progress Report for “Feed the Children” Campaign @ Milaap

Social Action for Manpower Creation – SAMPARC is working since last 29 Years for the Rehabilitation and proper Development of the Orphan & Needy Children.
Most of the Children come from very poor background: Orphans – Single-parent Children – Children of Convicted People or Children of Sex-workers. Naturally they suffer from Mal-nutrition having no proper Food-habit and practice of maintaining proper Hygiene.
So, the primary challenge is to cure them from Mal-nutrition, giving them Nutritious Food along with good food-habit which can lead to Good Health.
At present total 135 Destitute Girls are residing at SAMPARC Balgram – Bhaje obtaining proper Education and Care.
At SAMPARC Balgram – there is no compromise in terms of Food & Nutrition. The Diet Chart is adviced by Doctor and expert Dietitian. Food Committee of the Bal-Panchayet (Children’s Committee) plays important role to decide the Daily Menu.
The Children get Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tiffin and Dinner.
The daily food contains Vegetables, Pulses, Grains, Sprouts, Leafy vegetables, Eggs & Meat, Fruits and Milk having right proportion of Carbohydrate, Protein, Fat, Vitamin & Minerals.
The regular diet of each child consists of 200 gm Wheat, 150 gm Rice, 40 gm Pulses, 50 gm Sprouts, 200 gm Vegetables, 200 gm Chicken (every Sunday) 2 Eggs (every Friday) along with 200 ml Milk every day in the evening along with seasonal fruit like Apple, Banana, Orange, Papaya, Watermelon etc.
Children get Special Breakfast every Sunday like Idli - Sambar, Pav Bhaji, Misal Pav, Sabu-dana Khichdi, Noodles etc.
Food is prepared in cleaned Kitchen and the Dining Hall is also cleaned with Sanitizer every time after Food is served to maintain all sorts of Hygiene issues.
Pure Drinking Water is ensured by Water-purifier which is maintained properly by regular servicing.
At initial Stage of SAMPARC Balgram – it used to be the biggest challenge for Mr. Banerjee to Feed the Children properly. Now with the Support and Financial Helps of our Donors and Sponsors, Food with Special Nutrition Support is ensured for all the Children.
Therefore we are now able to focus on the other activities for the proper development of the Children.
Overall Health of the Children was good during this period except some minor problem of Cold & Fever, Skin-irritation and Stomach pain. All the Children have received proper Treatment and they are fit and fine now. Periodic Health Check-up programs of all the Children are done by the Doctor from SAMPARC Medical Centre, Malavli. Also, several sessions are conducted for the Girl Children to maintain proper personal hygiene, good practices towards good health.
During this period, the Children appeared in their Annual Examination and got promoted in the next class. Children get Special Tuition Classes to overcome their weakness in different subjects. Special Education Program is there for Maths & Reasoning, General Knowledge and Spoken English. Computer Class is there for all the Children to learn Basic-level Computer to be Computer-literate as well as to practice as per their School Syllabus.
The Children are also being encouraged for Sports and Extra-curricular Activities. Some Girls are showing good progress in Athletics and Kusti and regularly practice under supervision of skilled Coach. They participated in competitions and have got Prizes.
Several Workshops have been conducted to learn the Paper Craft-works. Some Children are really good in Drawing & Painting. They can prepare beautiful Greetings Cards and Envelops. They can make beautiful RANGOLI and also decorate their Balgram as well as Hall for Festivals & Cultural Programs.
Some Girl Children regularly attend classes for Singing, Recitation, Dance & Drama. They actively take part in all the Festivals and Cultural Programs – organized in the Balgram as well as in their School and other institutions.
All the Activities are being done to develop confidence among the Children.
We very much look forward for Your kind visit to our Children’s Home to Bless them for their Better Future and also to encourage the Staff Members working for the Development of the Children.
Thanking You,
Yours Sincerely,
